1972 - Bonus For Treasures Of Tutankhamun Queue: One of the largest queues yet outside the British Museum, waiting to see the Treasures of Tutankhamun Exhibition, had an unexpected bonus by being the first public to see an evening dress inspired by a jewelled costume of King Tutankhamun. The dress, modelled here by Christine Waldie, had earlier been shown at a Press reception at the Dorchester Hotel to introduce The Golden Needle Dressmaker's Club, a new service for women interested in home dressmaking and sewing
