RAF Hawker Hunters in flight
Feb. 26 Turbulence for a turbulent High-speed Hawker Hunters, jet fighters of Britain's Royal Air Force, appear like game fish, about to devour or at least give a rough time to a Turbulent, a light prop-driven aircraft, as they pass above the fields of England. The Turbulent is piloted by Squadron Leader John de M. Severne who flew it in this year's British National Air Races as the entry of the Duke of Edinburgh. The Hunters are Black Arrows of No. 111 Squadron, led by Squadron Leader Peter Latham from Wattisham, Suffolk, England
