Plane Crashes On To The Roof Of An Egg Warehouse.: Forty people packing and loading 150, 000 dozen eggs ducked yesterday when an R.A.F. plane crashed on to their warehouse roof. Down to the cases of fresh eggs went girders, glass and asbestos sheeting, but not one workman was hurt. The plane, a twin-engined Anson, hung suspended on the twisted rafters, 24-feet above the floor. It was a lucky escape for the crew of two, who suffered only cuts and bruises, and the two passengers - both BBC television men. They were rescued from the damaged aircraft by ladders. Thousands of eggs in the warehouse, at Victoria-road, Ruislip, Middlesex, were smashed. Photo shows A view from the road showing the R.A.F.
