RAF volunteers carry saddles after training, Hyde Park

1953 - Volunteers train horses for use by VIPs during the Coronation game in Hyde Park. A camp has been set up in Hyde Park for the training of horses for the use of VIPs during the Coronation ceremonies. The horses, none of which have as yet been on the roads, are being trained by volunteers of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps and of the Royal Air Force. A number of horses are being sent from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police later for similar training. The horses are being accustomed to cope with the Coronation festivities.
