Reagans and James Brady, White House press room
Nov. 11, 1981 - President and Mrs. Ronald W. Reagan enjoy a laugh as they helped dedicate the opening of The new White House Press Room here at the White House today. The President and First Lady, along with White House Press Secretary James Brady (right, in wheelchair) cut a ribbon for the occasion. Brady was seriously injured when he was shot leaving a Washington, D.C. Hotel with the President. He has had four brain operations so far and is expected to be released permanently from he hospital in two weeks
