May 08, 1981 - Daughter Of Shirley Williams Rebecca Williams - Launch Of New Red Cross Uniform; Rebecca Williams, grand daughter of World War I Red Cross Nurse, Vera Brittain (Testament of Youth) and daughter of Shirley Williams (SDP), Launched a new Red Cross Uniform today, She was wearing the 1914 Red Cross uniform worn by actress Cheryl Campbell while playing Vera Brittain in the BBC TV series Testament of Youth'. Contrasting with the new uniform worn by Elisabeth Grimsey, a seventeen year old Red Cross Volunteer, whom last year saved a man's life by stemming the bleeding of an arm he cut while escaping from a fire.
