Recording signals from Cassiopeia at Jodrell Bank

Jun. 05, 1964 - New radio telescope at Jodrell Bank. Recording signals from the Constellation Cassiopeia. The new £300, 000 radio telescope the Mark II was to be seen at Jodrell Bank yesterday. It has a moveable elliptical dish 125ft in diameter which gives greater range than the 250ft Mark I which has been in operation since 1957. In yesterday's demonstrations signals were picked up from the constellation Cassiopeia.
