During the last four weeks about 30.000 refugees from the Soviet-zone of Germany were asking for asylum in Western Berlin. It isly very difficult to provide for the housing facilities for all these people as there is much lack of shelter. The refugeesps arfe already overcrowded. How a Berlin - Heukocln wood factory cleared a workshop in order to give more than 3000 people shelter. There is now one paillasse basic the other used by old and young under one roof.
