Refugees
During the last four weeks about 30, 000 refugees from the Soviet Zone of Germany were asking for asylum in Western Berlin. I is naturally very difficult to provide for the housing facilities for all these people as there is much lack of shelter. The refugees camps are already over crowded. How a Berlin Heuckeclln wood factory cleared a workshop in order to give more than 3000 people shelter. There is now one paillasse beside the other, used by old and young under one roof
