Refugees

The End In Nigeria. Last Pictures: As today's new of what appears to be the end of the fighting in the civil war come in, these the last pictures to be received from the war-torn territory gained by the victors from the Ibo, have an even greater pathos and significance. Scenes of destruction and desolation show what a work of reconstruction will have to be carried out once supplies get in and there is once again a population on workers with food in their bellies. As always, in the forefont of all this there are small contingents of volunteers from Western nations, many British girls of the Save the Children Fund, working in hospitals and reception centres. They will remain for so long as their presence is needed
