Apr. 05 West Berlin refugee camps overcrowding. Over 1, 000 fleet from East sector every day For the past week or so more than 1, 000 people have been making their way into the Western Sector of Berlin from the East everyday. The arrivals are complaining that life in East Berlin is getting much more difficult everyday and that the Eastern Police are treating them very badly. On arrival they are being housed in temporary refugee camps, bombed houses, cellars etc. while awaiting transport to Western Germany sometimes for as long as four weeks.
