Jul. 19, 1960 - Refuges From Congo Arrive in Port Kingoma - The First Batch of 464 Belgian Refugeen from the Congo arrived at Port Kigoma on Lake Tanganyika. A Spicial Train was placed at the disposal of the refugees who comprised most belgians, but also included Greeks, Italians and Britisners. The train halted on a siding adjecent to Ukonga camp 10 miles from Dares Salaam where the refuges were being accomodated.
