Refugees
May 13, 1967 - Lovers Flee from South Africa: 28-year-old Englishman Michael Fisher and his Indian-Malay wife Marjorie, 23, have been told to get out of Tanganyika, where they fled with their thee-year-old son David, to avoid persecution in South Africa. The Tanganyikan Authorities gave them 24 hours to leave the Federation as they had entered illegally, but if they return to South Africa they would face prosecution either under the Immorality Act, or the Mixed Marriages Act.
