Nov. 28, 1953 - The final preparations before the opening ceremony of the Kaiserdom in Frankfurt am Main were finished. The cathedral itself was nearly destroyed during World War 2, and was finally rebuilt after four years of construction. Pictured here is art master and restorer F. F. Pitzerat at the installation of this Sacred Heart of Jesus altar
