Mar. 27 Seasonal onslaught against the death watch beetle Precautionary measures at Westminster Hall; Workmen from the Ministry of Works were today carrying out their periodic examination and repairs to the ancient hammer beam roof of Westminster Hall. It is being sprayed and brushed with insecticide to prevent the ravages of the death watch beetle which was first discovered there in 1913. Photo Shows Albert Jones, of North Chess, examines some of the holes made by the death watch beetle at Westminster Hall today
