Oct. 06, 1970 - David was quite a man; A Japanese girl contemplates the huge statue of David being exhibited at the Michelangelo Pavilion in Akasaka, Tokyo, to mark the 500th anniversary of the famous Italian sculptor's birth which occurs in 1975. The replica of the original measures 5.2 meters high, and weighs 7 tons. It was sculpted by the Italian sculptor Bobbechi, using the same material as Michelangelo and is perfect in every detail
