Procter, VC aged 80 years old from Shrewsbury. he was presented with warlike equipment by a Masai Chief during a visit he made to Kenya with nine other VCs. Mr. Proctor was the first man to receive the award from King George V on the battlefield during the Somme offensive 54 years ago
