Richard Chamberlain and Suzanne Neve, BBC2 series
Nov. 11, 1967 - Richard Chamberlain (Dr. Kildare) to star in B.B.C. Colour Drama - and he's the patient Richard Chamberlain, known to millions of BBC-1 viewers as Dr. Killdare, is to star in his first BBC2 drama, as a young American suffering from tuberculosis. He plays the sensitive role of Ralph in a six-part dramatisation of Henry James novel Portrait Of A Lady to be screened on BBC-2 in colour, beginning January 6th, 1968. The Lady of the title is played by Lovely Suzanne Neve, who is also in the successful serial The Forsyte Saga'. This evening Richard Chamberlain met Suzanne, his leading lady, for the first time at a reception at the BBC Television Centre.
