Richard Rodgers, songwriter, in London for new show

Oct. 10, 1963 - Mr. Music comes to town. : Richard Rodgers, who for 44 years has produced some of the finest songs ever written, has come to London to launch his latest musical show The Boys from Syracuse which opens at Drury Lane in succession to My Fair Lady'. Rodgers also has the long running Sound of Music playing in London, and will have another when No Strings opens in December. Up until now he has always worked with a partner, but following the death of his partner Oscar Hammerstein he is now working on his own. He worked with Hammerstein for 20 years and with Hart for 24 years.
