Aug. 08, 1969 - Rioting in Londonderry: Many policemen were injured in Londonderry yesterday during clashes between Roman Catholic and Protestants. The rioting flared yesterday afternoon near the end of the annual Apprentice Boys parade commemorating the 1689 relief of Londonderry from a siege of King James's Catholic troops who had been originally locked out by boy apprentices.
