Robert Donat and Kay Walsh filming at Ealing Studios, London

Feb. 02, 1954 - Robert Donat returns to the screen. A welcome kiss for the parson: Robert Donat who was last seen in a film as William Friese-Greene nearly three years ago now takes on the role of a country parson, vicar of a South Yorkshire parish in a new film Lease of Life which is being made at Ealing Studios. His wife is played by Kay Walsh, and technical advice on wearing the clerical clothes comes from Canon Edward Carpenter of Westminster Abbey, who took part in the procession of regalia at the Coronation. Photo shows Mrs William Thorne (Kay Walsh) has a welcoming kiss for her screen husband Robert Donat (Rev William Thorne) during filming at Ealing
