Robert Donat as Mandarin in film scene

Jun. 06, 1958 - Robert Donat As The Mandarin, Last Screen Part Of Famous Star: Shortly before his death in a London Hospital on Sunday night - screen star Robert Donat completed his final screen role - that of a Mandarin in the film The Inn of The Sixth Happiness -- in which he co-starred with Ingrid Bergman. Much of the film was made in the Welsh mountains - and because of Donat's poor health much of the film shooting was rearranged to ease pressure on him - but none of the cast knew just how ill he was. Photo Shows Robert Donat - as the Mandarin - during the filming
