1966 - High In The Sky - An Architect's Favourite Project: The favourite project of 53-year old Berlin architect, Robert Gabriel, is gigantic tower of steel and light metal, where 25, 000 people can live and work. The tower will have 356 floors, will be 27 yards in diameter and 1, 125 yards high. In the base of the tower, which will be 57 yards diameter and 72 yards high, will be shops, schools and cinemas. There will also be shops, schools and cinemas. There will also be a theatre for the inhabitants of the building. On the upper floors there is planned to be about 8, 000 flats, each of 90 square yards. Electricity for the building would come from a power station constructed for the purpose.
