Robert Menzies reacts to anti-Vietnam protest, Sydney

Dr Robert Menzies And The Anti-Vietnam War Students: Australian Prime Minister Dr. Robert Menzies shook his hands in mock fear on the steps of Sydney Town Hall. He had been surrounded by nearly 200 booing University Students and wharf labourers demonstrating separately. As Mr. Menzies stepped from his car - they waved coloured posters in his face protesting against the Vietnam War and Australia's treatment of Aboriginals. Then in high humour - he turned on the steps and held up trembling hands. He was at the Town Hall to open a lunchtime Liberal Party Rally marking his first direct entry into the NSW election campaign.
