Aug. 08, 1975 - Robert Powell to Portray the life of Jesus: Sir Lew Grade, Chairman of ATV and the director of Rai, Italian State Television, announced that the outstanding British actor, Robert Powell, famous for his part in the Doomwatch television series will portray Jesus in the two companies productions of Zeffirelli's The Life of Jesus'. The series will be filmed as six one hour programmes. Other actors for the major roles. So far, Peter O'Toole has agreed to play John the Baptist, and Sir Laurence Olivier will also play a part.
