Apr. 17 American TV Brings Dickens Back To Life In The London He Loved. Dickens (played in his prime by Sir Michael Redgrave and in his youth by Robin Ellis, 25, now appearing in the Rivals, Haymarket Theatre) meets a young girl of today Juliet Mills. As in all true fantasies they get talking and the famous writer shows her the landmarks of such novels as Oliver Twist, he takes her back in time. This is the theme of a one-hour colour television film made for American ABC network to be shown in the USA in December of this year. The film is directed by actor Barry Morse (of Fugitive fame) and is produced by Danny Wilson. Picture shows a scene at Nancy's Steps (an Oliver Twist setting) on the South side of London Bridge.
