Jan. 01, 1968 - The fastest gun in the world: Pictured at his hotel in London yesterday is the fastest gun in the world. His name is Rodd Redwing, a descendant of the Chickasaw tribe, who has taught most of the film cowboys to handle a 45 and usually done the shooting. Mr. Redwing's latest pupil is Sean Connery in his first western role. He is teaching 007 that there are other guns than the Beretta which have a licence to kill. For a week I won't even let him put on a holster. He'll just learn how to handle a colt. Since the 30s, Mr. Redwing has been Hollywood's greatest gunman, and his hands have appeared in more films than he can count. Today Mr. Redwing is off to location in Spain to teach Connery about Colts and take a part in the film Shalako in which Brigitte Bardot also stars. He had all his firemen sent to Spain without bringing them to Britain. It's mighty difficult getting guns into your territory, he observed.
