Rolf Hochhuth, German writer, trial in Stuttgart
Feb. 29 Stuttgart, Germany: Sentence at trial Filbinger/Hochhuth.: In Stuttgart there was found now the sentence in the trial CDU-politician Hans Karl Filbinger against writer Rolf Hochhuth (in picture). At the beginning of this year the famous German author had published an article in the German paper Die Zeit, in which he wrote about the past of the present Prime Minister of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Hans Karl Filbinger was a Navy-staff-judge during the second world war and in this role, so Hochhuth, he has not tried to stop sailor Groeger in January 1945. Of course, Filbinger did not agree with the report by Hochhuth and conducted legal measures. Now the Stuttgart Superior Court decided, that some of Hochhuth's value judgements may not be said and written in the future, but other comments, published in this article and criticised also by Filbinger, were not forbidden
