Roman Polanski Directs Verdi's Opera Rigoletto At The National Theatre in Munich: The famous Polish born film director Roman Polanski has left the film business for a while and turned towards the opera theatre. At the National Theatre in Munich, he is currently directing the opera Rigoletto which will have its premiere on October 31st. Roman Polanski (who directed films such as Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown') has already some experience with the opera. Two years ago, he produced Lulu at the Festival of Spoleto in Italy.
