Feb. 29 The Well-Known Actress Rosa Albach-Retty Wrote Her Memoirs: 100 years are very short. Rosa Albach-Retty said, and she must know it, the big old lady of the Burgthester in Vienna/Austria, because she could celebrate her 103rd birthday. Now she did, other peoples do it very younger: she wrote her memoirs. This make the mother of Wolf Albach-Retty and grandmother of the well-known actress Romy Schneider is not only the oldest actress, also the oldest writer of the world. Her remembrance goes back a whole century. In the age of 8 the big Moltke made the first compliments to her - she played with Joseph Kainz and Helene Odilon - she knew Gerhart Hauptuann and Herrmann Sudermann and she talked with emperor Franz-Joseph and sovereign v. Bisnarck. She got a lot of honours and the art-critics dedicated her anthems. She stood 75 years on the stage. Today Rosa Albach-Retty lives in Vienna/Austria and is - in spite of her 103 years - still young
