Rose Llanos performing as a snake in serpent costume
Feb. 29 She Lives By Being A Serpent: Half French half Chinese, Rose Llanos, the under five foot under seven stone girl who is nightly thrown about by two hunters who catch her in the Prince of Wales Theatre jungle act, likes to get away to practise her serpent movements in the park. Taught to dance and contort her body as early as two years of age by her aunt, she was earning her living at 14, on the continent. She has never been to England before but loves it now she is here. Her skin-tight serpent dress only lasts a couple of weeks because of the friction as she is swung against the stage floor. she studied the movements of the snakes in various zoos, and today, finds a strange fascination in imitating them. So don't be surprised if you meet a modern Eve, or serpent, when in the Park. The Serpent Sleeps: Tired after her practice in the park, Rose Llanos falls asleep in the Autumn sunshine
