Aug. 06, 1971 - Southhampton, England, United Kingdom - CHAY BLYTH, the first person to sail solo westwords, wrong way, around the world was given a royal welcome when he arrived at Hamble, Southampton today in his 59ft ketch, British Steel at the end of his 30, 000 mile, 293 day voyage.
