Roy Emerson falls in tennis match at Wimbledon
Jun. 06, 1966 - Sensation At Wimbledon. Roy Emerson Beaten: During his match against fellow Australian, Owen Davidson, Roy Emerson, the No.1 seed, in rushing to the net to return a shot, slipped and got tangled up with microphone, ball boy and umpire stand. His opponent rushed over to see if he was hurt, and after a few minutes he was able to play again. After the match, in which Emerson was beaten, he went to Hospital for a check-up.
