Royal Ballet dancers in 20s production, Sadlers Wells
May 05, 1971 - Royal Ballet At Sadler's Wells Theatre. Hollywood Heydays Reincarnated; Noel Coward, Gertrude Lawrence, Douglas Fairbanks Snr and Mary Pickford - represented by Gary Sherwood, Deidre O'Conaire, Paul Clarke and Doreen Wells respectively, leading dancers of the Royal Ballet appropriately made-up and costumed - were at today's Photocall at Sadler's Wells Theater. These are among the many colourful entertainment world figures of the roaring twenties who appear in Joe Dayton's nostalgic ballet, The Grand Tour, which, danced to an arrangement of Noel Coward music, opens a two week Royal Ballet season at Sadler's Wells Tomorrow (May 27).
