May 02, 1967 - Gold Bullion Raid in London: Gang get away with £750, 000. A Royal Mint Refinery van was found abandoned in Twisden Road, Kentish Town, NW London yesterday after a gang had overpowered its crew of three and got away with £750, 000 of gold bullion. The van was ambushed in Bowling Green Lane, Clerkenwell, after a delivery to Breloques, Jewellery manufacturers.
