Nov. 09, 1973 - November 9th 1973 The Army catering corps at Aldershot make Princess Anne's wedding cake The Army Catering Corps at Aldershto have made the official cake for the wedding of Princess Anne to Captain Mark Phillips next Wednesday. The honour of designing and making the cake was vested in Warrant Officer David Dodd, who is instructor at the Army School of Catering at Aldershot. It is a 5-tier cake, standing 5-foot, 8 inches high, has a 22-inch diameter base and weighs approximately 145 lbs.
