The honour of designing and making the cake was vested in Warrant Officer David Dodd, who is instructor at the Army School of Catering at Aldershot. It is a 5-tier cake, standing 5-foot, 8 inches high, has a 22-inch diameter base and weighs approximately 145 lbs.
