Royal yacht Britannia and Home Fleet, return to UK
May 27, 1957 - 27-5-57 Britannia is met by the Home Fleet The Home Fleet today greeted the Royal yacht Britannia, which was bringing H.M. The Queen and Prince Philip back after the State visit to Denmark, 10 miles off Kinnards Head, Aberdeenshire. With the Britannia leading, the Home Fleet steamed towards Cromarty Firth. It was the start of the three-day visit by H.M. The Queen and Prince Philip to the Home Fleet. Keystone Photo Shows: The Britannia, followed by H.M.S. Apollo, as H.M.S.
