Rubens painting in exhibition at Dulwich, London
Mar. 03, 1967 - Stolen Painting on view. Private View of Dulwich College Picture Gallery.: At the Dulwich College Picture Gallery today, Sir Gerald Kelly, K.C.V.C. P.P.R.A. presided at a private press view of the eight paintings which were stolen from the Gallery at the end of last year (30th/31st December 1966). The paintings, valued at between ? 1 and 2 million 3 Rembrandts, 3 Rubens, 1 Elsheimer, 1 Dou - were recovered a few days after the robbery. They did not suffer any serious damage. They have been restored and re-hung and will be on view to the general public as from Saturday, March 4th 1967. Photo shows Mr. E.C.
