Jan. 01, 1987 - Rudolf Nureyev on the Muppet show: The World's Greatest Ballet star, Rudolf Nureyev, was the Muppets guest star this weekend - Sam the American eagle was Ecstatic that at last the show was introducing some culture and insists that the Muppets wear tails and ties. But Sam was in for a shock-Rudolf surrendered himself to Muppet Zaniness and the result was his pas de deux with a 500 lb pig to Swine Lake an encounter in the Sauna with Miss Piggy to Baby It's Cold Out There and finally he dons Top hat white tie and tails for a song and tap dance to a famous number.
