Jun. 06, 1958 - The Czechs bar Arthur Ellis from future games they claim the ball was never over the Line: The Czechoslovakia World Cup team told the organisers yesterday that they will not except English referee Arthur Ellis for any of the future games in the Cup. He allowed a goal for Germany on Wednesday when the Czech goal keeper, holding the ball, was charged into his goal by the German forward Hans Schaeffer - and the Czechs claim the ball never crossed the line. The goal was the first of two Germany scored in the second half to wipe out the Czechs half-time load.
