Mar. 27 Incredible year for Italy Soccer. The 1970-71 Italian seccer seasons will not go down as a vintage year. But it might make a nice script for a comedy show. A Major League player and former Italian national team winger, paride Tumburus, 32, was sold by one first division club to another for 175 (Us 28 cents) Its was the lowest transfer fee on record anywhere. One Major league coach, Argentine expatriate Helenio Herrera, was fired and then hired by A.S. Roma after agreeing to take a pay cut of 125 million lire ( 200.000 Us Dollars) a year. He still ranked as one of the hightest paid coaches in any sport anywhere. Photo shows the player Paride Tumburus and the coach Helenio Herrera
