Mar. 25, 1964 - 13-Year Old Sign As Professional Footballers: Two boys milled around on the school playground at Davenant Foundation Grammar School in Stepney yesterday, making soccer history. For at 13, Terry Brisley and Dennis Rofe have been signed up by Leyton Orient, to become the youngest players ever to join a League club, after being spotted by a talent scout in a schoolboys cup final. Both weigh about seven stone, and with Terry 4 ft 7 1/2 ins and Dennis an inch taller, they are probably the smallest players ever to be signed.
