Jan. 07, 1966 - World Cup Soccer Draw - The draw for the World Cup soccer final rounds, to be played in England in July this year, was made yesterday (Jan 6) at the Royal Garden Hotel. Kensington, London. Sir Stanley Rous, President of the Federation of International Football Associations made the draw with other members of the FIFA Organising Committee. This was the scene at the end of the draw, showing at left the groupings of the sixteen finalist nations and, at right, how the teams are drawn to play each other in the four groupings. Left to Right at the front table are: S.L. Mordy Maduro of Curacao; Dr. Helmut Kaeser, secretary to FIFA; Sir Stanley Rous, President of FIFA; Harry Cavan of Northern Ireland; and Lord Harewood, President of the British Football Association
