Oct. 10, 1973 - Europe Cup Final - FC Bayern vs. Dynamo Dresden draw 4-3: 60 000 soccer fans - among them 1000 from East Germany were attending this game, the first one in years to take place between teams of East- and West-Germany at Munich's Olynpic stadion. FC Bayern was considered to play in its best form and was able only to beat Dynamo Dresden by one goal. Chief-trainer of FC Bayern, Mr. Udo Lattek was quite surprised how good a match was played by the East-German team. Dynamo Dresden's chief trainer, Mr. Walther Fritsch is quite optimistically looking forward to the next match which is held on Nov. 7th in Dresden. Referee of this match was a Scotxman, Mr. Davidson.
