Nov. 04, 1957 - Soviet sends up Sputnik II'. New picture of their experiments with Dog carring Rockets. Co-inciding with the news that the Sovied had released Sputnik II satellite-containing a dog-new pictures have been received in London showing their experiments with dog carrying Rockets. A dog has sent up in a globe inside a rocket to the height of 100 kilometres-and returned to safety by parachute. Photo shows The dog is taken out of the globe after returning to earth by parachute-after its trip to the stratosphere
