Feb. 26 Russian Air Display at Moscow.: Celebrating Russian Air Force day, a big air display was held at Tushino Airfield, just outside Moscow, June 24th. Air Force delegations from 28 foreign countries attended by invitation. Emphasis was on fighter planes rather than bombers. Only 16 medium and heavy bombers took part in the show, compared with more than 130 fighters. Foreign observers decided that there were few military surprises and that the new planes seen were much as had been expected. Photo shows U.S.A. Air chief, Gen. Nathan Twining (right), with Russian Defence Minister Marshal Zhukov (centre) and Russian Party Boss Nikita Khrushchev (left), at the Russian Air Force day reception in Moscow, after the air show
