Sep. 08, 1960 - Trades Union congress in Douglas, I.O.M.: Frank Cousins, the Transport Workers leader, won his battle at the Trades Union Congress in committed to a policy of renouncing nuclear weapons. But congress also approved official Labour defence policy, which insists on Britain remaining in a NATO equipped with nuclear weapons, though leaving nuclear production exclusively to the Americans
