Oct. 10, 1964 - MR. KRUSCHEV RESIGNS. 70-year old NIKITA KRUSCHEV has resigned his two top posts because of his age and the deteriotation of his health'. He is succeeded as Soviet Prime Minister by First Deputy Premier ALEXEI KOSYGIN, 60, and as leader of the Russian Communist Party by deputy leader, LEONID BREZHNEV, 58, who was Soviet President until July.
