Aug. 08, 1968 - Dr. Endre Sik, former Hungarian Foreign Minister, receives the International Lenin Peace Prize in Budapest: Dr. Endre Sik, Chairman of the National Peace Council and former Hungarian Foreign Minister, received the International Lenin Peace Prize on July 27 from Soviet Academician P.N. Fedoseyav, Chairman of the Soviet-Hungarian Friendship Society. Dr. Endre Sik had been awarded the prize by the Lenin Peace Prize Committee for his long years of untiring efforts in the cause of peace and participation in the international peace movement. The prize was handed over to DR. Sik at the headquarters of the National Peace Council in the presence of many prominent Hungarian and Soviet statesmen and public figures.
