Aug. 08, 1961 - Sammy Davis Jr. Arrives for London season: The American entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. arrived in Britain from Los Angeles today. He will stay in London until Tuesday when he travels to Monte Carlo to star in a special Charity Gala performance. He then returns to London to commence rehearsals for his show An evening with Sammy Davis Jr which opens at the Prince of Wales Theatre on Aug 21 for seven weeks.
